Its service projects include community improvement activities, promotion of education and libraries, and purchase of Federation Forest (613 acres), which was donated to the state and became a state park in 1949. Includes records of member clubs throughout the state.

Alliance of women's clubs of Washington State founded in 1896. Since 1995 it has been known as the General Federation of Women's Clubs -- Washington State. The organization was established at a statewide convention of women's clubs called by the members of the Aloha and Nesika clubs of Tacoma. It is a member of The General Federation of Women's Clubs, International, the world's largest and oldest nonpartisan, nondenominational volunteer service organization for women, founded in 1890. ...
